Tell us all about it...

Thanks for sending us your Recycle Week photos - it was nice to see so many fantastic events and the great coverage you received. They will be 'starring' in the Brand in Action section very soon.

But now it's all over, we need to start planning the next one and your help would be much appreciated. We have created a quick and easy on-line survey to capture your thoughts and opinions on how this year went; where you think we can improve and what already works well.

So let us have your views and help us make Recycle Week 2009 the best one yet.

Thank you

Are you recycling on the go?

A scheme to encourage the public to recycle whilst out and about was launched by Joan Ruddock at the start of Recycle Week.

Working jointly with Defra and Encams, Recycle Now has adapted some of the material stream signage to make it more appropriate for recycling bins in public areas.  Guidelines showing how to use branding have also been created. Visit the "Recycle on the go" area and check out the resources including Defra's Code of Conduct and Good Practice Guide.

We would love to know who has already implemented a "Recycle on the go" scheme - so if you have, please let us know.

Increase your skills

New dates have been announced for 2008/09 training courses, so why not take a look and see if there's a course you might benefit from.

WRAP's training programme is aimed at recycling and waste managers in local authorities and those from not-for-profit/community organisations or private waste management companies. If you're involved in delivering and managing local authority recycling services, visit the website and take a look at the full list of courses available.

Further information and an on-line application form can be obtained from: http://www.wrap.org.uk/la/training
