Can you answer YES to any of these three questions?
- Are you considering or introducing a new food waste collection scheme?
- Are you a large Unitary Authority or Partnership of authorities considering a waste prevention strategy and/or communications campaign, including food waste reduction?
- Is your 07/08 dry recycling rate (BVPI 82a) under twenty per cent, and/or your combined recycling rate (BVPI 82a & b) for 07/08 under thirty per cent?

Our Local Authority Support Programme for England offers free operational, waste prevention and communications advice to help authorities improve their waste and recycling performance and reduce household waste. We are currently receiving and reviewing Requests for Support for 2008/9. The three categories above are our priorities for support, although the service is open to all authorities.
